We are seeking a qualified Manager – Legal Development to support the development and enhancement of the AIFC legal framework. The role involves legal drafting, analysis, and stakeholder engagement under the guidance of the Director.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the drafting and legal review of AIFC Acts and amendments
Review and provide input on legal drafts and legislative proposals within AIFC and related bodies
Conduct comparative legal analysis and international benchmarking
Prepare legal opinions, analytical notes, and recommendations
Engage with external experts, advisory bodies, and stakeholders
Support coordination and implementation of legal development initiatives and projects
Ensure compliance with internal policies and legal standards
Maintain and manage legal documentation and records
Contribute to continuous improvement of the AIFC legal framework
Requirements & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Kazakh and International Law (LLM is an advantage)
Minimum 2 years of relevant legal experience (law firm or in-house)
Strong knowledge of Kazakh, Common Law, and AIFC legal framework
Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents
Knowledge of international legal standards and data protection laws is an advantage
Fluency in English and Russian, with working knowledge of Kazakh
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
