Zhubanov University, in partnership with Heriot-Watt University (UK), invites applications for academic position in Computer Engineering.
This is a unique opportunity to join an international academic partnership and contribute to the delivery of UK higher education programmes in Kazakhstan.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratories, and workshops in English
Assess and support undergraduate students
Supervise student projects
Contribute to curriculum development and academic quality assurance
Collaborate with colleagues from Zhubanov University and Heriot-Watt University
Participate in research and international academic initiatives
Requirements
Essential
PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline
Teaching or industry experience in a relevant field
Strong programming skills (e.g. Python, Java, C/C++, OCaml)
Ability to teach in English
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
Experience in higher education teaching
Experience with Canvas or other virtual learning environments
Research publications and research experience
Experience supervising student projects
International academic or industry experience
