We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems. You will play a key role across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security of applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable backend systems and microservices architecture
Manage tasks across the software development lifecycle from design to deployment
Ensure application performance, uptime, scalability, and responsiveness
Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and system design
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
Implement security and data protection measures, including secure authentication (SSO)
Develop and maintain backend applications, APIs, and services
Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulations
Stay up to date with modern technologies and continuously improve systems
Requirements & Competencies:
Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 3+ years of experience in backend/software development
Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL
Proficiency in API development (REST, RPC, SOAP) and microservices architecture
Experience with Git, Maven, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Azure or AWS)
Experience with SSO solutions (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML)
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ) is an advantage
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English, with good organizational and time-management abilities
