Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
Process payroll, invoices, and expense reimbursements in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
Ensure compliance with Kazakhstani tax legislation, statutory reporting requirements, and internal financial policies.
Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and banking institutions as required.
Support the Finance Department with ad hoc financial analysis and administrative tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years of professional accounting experience; experience in a university or non-profit setting is an advantage.
Solid knowledge of IFRS and Kazakhstani accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., 1C) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Good command of English and Kazakh and/or Russian.
Professional certification (CAP, CIPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is a plus.
